Description

Super Awesome Quest is a free-to-play fantasy adventure RPG with a completely innovative token-flipping combat mechanic paired with a Japanese-style crafting system. Follow the adventures of Greg the Paladin and his friends on their quest for honor, riches, and super awesomeness by fighting the hordes of the Undead Army, crafty kobolds, nefarious bounty hunters, dangerous dragons, and more.

About the Project

History

The idea for Super Awesome Quest came from a brainstorming session between Boomzap founders Christopher Natsuume and Allan Simonsen. Chris was stuck in snowy Tokyo while Allan was on holiday at a beach in Thailand. They wanted a small, fun game that could be played with one hand so that it could easily be played while riding a train, or waiting in line. In December 2013, the core team was formed and development began with the initial idea of a mobile RPG but without the usual match-3 or card-game mechanics: a battle screen at the top and a battle board for the hero’s skills below. Within a month, the game was playable, thus the start of something super awesome.

Early Reception

During its soft launch, Super Awesome Quest was featured on the iTunes Home Page under Best New Games in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Philippines. It also ranked Top 10 in Singapore on the iTunes App Store and was a finalist at the Philippine Game Festival Awards 2014 and The Straits Times Digital Life Reader’s Choice 2015.

Game Release

Super Awesome Quest was launched worldwide on July 9, 2015 for iOS and Android devices, with full localization support, including English, Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Taglish, Thai, Vietnamese, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian.
